zucchini bread- i won't post the recipe b/c its really healthy. i used my agave nectar instead of sugar and goji berries(on clearance after christmas.) i really like it with something on it. which probably cancels out not using any sugar. jam and butter probably adds the same amount of calories. kids didn't like it, so i failed at teaching them to cook something good.

lower your expectations:

my goal for this vacation- clean one room from top to bottom everyday, teach the kids to cook something, take the kids on a fun outing.

doesn't sound to hard does it?

well it is.
friday i had to get a emergency root canal. right after eric just had one on monday. i was in a ton of pain all weekend. and i didn't even use the perscription pain killer the dr gave me- just plain old advil (aren't you proud of me).

so the only room that got clean was this one. no one is allowed in it. it must stay clean!! (if you come over- you must also stay in this room.)

Also on Friday at scout camp- Trakes crown fell off. blood everywhere. he didn't lose the tooth, it just cracked right in half horizontally. its a jagged mess. luckily eric was there- to tell me to call the dentist. do you think dentists anwser their phones friday night? nope.
but my wonderful orthodonist did (Garn and Mason) and even went into his office to look at x-rays. he said we should probably extract it after the weekend if hes not in any pain.

Mon- i go to the dentist to see why tooth still hurts. he doesn't know, so i should wait a few weeks and see if it gets better. joy. i was feeling a little frustrated.
my babysitter asks if i'm ok. no- start crying, i'm a basket case.

so i figure fresh and easy will make me feel better.
i usually go noonish, theres a good amount of things marked down. but not much was marked down at 10. so i see that the expiration date is today and i ask the lady if she'll mark them down for me.

lady: no. you just have to wait until i get to them. i'm not going to mark everything down when people ask.

ok i'm a little sensitive about confrontations. i need to work on it. i know i seem tough on my blog but i'm not.

so my eyes were getting a little teary but i held it back. then i wander around the store till she marks it down. not talking to anyone.
the employees usually all talk to me b/c i'm there EVERY DAY.

so i go out to the car and the manager stops me and asks- if she was rude to me b/c he thought he overheard her a little.
i start crying and say- yes, you always mark stuff down for me, i didn't think it was that big of deal. i mean i'm here everyday. you guys make $ off me even though i only buy clearance stuff! i'm sorry, i've had a bad day. i'm sorry i'm crying.
manager: i'm really sorry i'm going to chew her out. we like having you here.

tomarrow. take trake to the dentist, actually all the kids- i figure if i'm going i might as well get them all in.

then right after that take elsie to the dr b/c her eyes are al crusty every morning. i found a new dr. mike herrera 487-8800, he just opened his practice so his schedules wide open. i said i want to come at 10:30 b/c thats when i'm down there. and they did it. when does that ever happen?

HAPPIER PART- i love my front room(the pictures)
we got the couches and tables from this rich guy, that staged his million $ house in paradise valley w/ sweet furniture, so he could sell it. we found him in the paper- i looked and looked for another deal like that w/ no luck.
shelves- arron brothers with a 50% off coupon that comes around the holidays.
lamps-costco.
frames on the shelf- my one enrichment project that actually turned out ok. don't look to close though.
