Those of you who have been to WICKED... do you think it would be better than "O"?? A review of "O" is below.
Its a little pricey and although its for 5 and up, i'm not totally sure it would be age appropriate.
oh and i read the book "WICKED" and its really dirty- is the show like that at all?
How to describe the seemingly indescribable wonder and artistry of Cirque du Soleil's still utterly dazzling display? An Esther Williams-Busby Berkeley spectacular on peyote? A Salvador Dalí painting come to life? A stage show by Fellini? The French troupe has topped itself with this production -- and not simply because it's situated its breathtaking acrobatics in, on, around, and above a 1.5-million-gallon pool (eau -- pronounced O -- is French for "water"). Even without those impossible feats, this might be worth the price just to see the presentation, a constantly shifting dreamscape tableau that's a marvel of imagination and staging. If you've seen Mystère at TI-Treasure Island or other Cirque productions, you'll be amazed that they've once again raised the bar to new heights without losing any of the humor or stylistic trademarks, including the sensuous music. If you've never seen a Cirque show, prepare to have your brain turned inside out.
We know -- those ticket prices, especially when we keep pointing you in the direction of other Cirque shows -- ouch. We want to say that we can guarantee it's worth it, but that's a decision only you can make. (Though no one we've personally sent has come back regretting that they went.) But we can say this: Watch this show, and you know where a good chunk of the money is going (in other words, they spend a bundle nightly to mount this thing). Note that no tank tops, shorts, or sneakers are allowed. Wednesday through Sunday 7:30 and 10:30pm.

I've never seen O but I loved Wicked. I don't remember it being too crass, but I'm not sure I'd take little ones either. I did se Ka by CdS and that was awesome for all ages!
:)
Ken and Ave were 4 and 7 when they saw Wicked. It's FANTASTIC! Nothing bad in it. You can get the soundtrack, although it may be a little confusing.
The book is supposed to be very dark. The show is not. I have never heard of someone NOT liking it. My girls loved it, Ave was a little young, she got tired in the middle. I say go for it, but I have no interest in seeing O,(just haven't looked into it at all) I prefer musicals.
LOVED Wicked! It's Phenom. I Would take Carly in a heartbeat. The musical is not like the book. The book is horrible and ruins the musical. Cirque-de-sol...whatever it's called is a freak show for freaks. Come on Sarah, see the light.
OOOOO you are so low tiff. you need to go and see one- they are awesome AND its got synchro..HELLO. I should go to it just to spite you! you are so culturally unaware.
shes my good friend... if you wondering if this is another crazy blog stalker. of course she is rude but at least she posted her name. and i still like her even though shes lacking in taste.
Yay...posts galore!! Lots to comment on, but now that you've brought Wicked in on it I want to go!!!!! I would take Kelsi in a heartbeat but I think the Wizare would scare her. Seriously, that's my only reason why...not dirty - they skip that part :) Plus if you see it in cali you can go shop at the fashion district and get lots of cool knock offs!!! I'll give you details if you want 'em.
