This was in the Mcdowell Mts. We would stop every 2 miles or so and cheer for our runner, see if they needed water. It was HOT. Almost 90 in Febuary- dang desert.
Putting moms of 24 kids didn't stop the crazy college kids from doing stuff.....
we were laughing at a guy in SUPER short shorts and he caught us looking at him.
oh no..so he bends over shakes his rear then winks at us, nasty.
Then continues to do high kicks in his little shorts giving us quite the view. yikes.
The flamingo on the front didn't last long, nor did my pants, it got super hot. The van was great, 4 rows for 6 people, we had lots of room to stretch out.

This is my team. Trena (red, didn't really know anyone, her friend dropped out last min). Eda (in front of Trena. I found out I hung out w/ her husbands brother in high school). Sherry (white. I went to high school with her, haven't seen her in 12 years). Julie (pink. she signed her kids up for swim lessons once). Rachel (black. our daughters do synchro together). ME!
Lois suckered me into to this and she wasn't even in my van.
POINT- try new things step out of your comfort zone. Its really fun.
Anyone in for next year?
I seriously just loved sitting in the van not having to do anything.
Didn't miss the fam one bit. (i knew they were in good care)
We tried to sleep on the ground in Congress. (i never knew of such a town, either).
Foam roller was a genius idea, use it to help those tight muscles. We were rolling on sidewalks and road shoulders throughout the race.
