bisbee stair run! i've been talking about this forever!

I tried to get a bunch of girls to come rent a house with me but all i got was..."ya, sure". "that sounds fun" oh i'd love to do that" BUT...

no one really followed through.

so I called my mom and dad and told them we needed to pack up the RV!
(eric opts out of these kinds of things...i don't let that stop me)

I met this lady and she was wearing the Vibram 5 finger shoes. People kept asking her about them. I was listening and then I told the people they should read Born To Run. the book talks about them a lot. She laughs and says her boyfriend is one of the main characters in the book!!

I was so excited! Took out my camera and snapped a pic with her, told her I was a bit obsessed with the whole book. (even though I only run 5-6 miles a week, not even in a straight row, just 400's here and there).

We chatted for awhile about it and now we are Facebook buddies. She lives in Mesa and owns Pf Changs! score.

As soon I crossed the finish line, WHINING.

FULL on whining. My sweet little girls. It was only 50 min and they were with grandma.

Story of my life.

This is the Copper Canyon Inn. Its supposed to be haunted. My kids were all over that. Looking for ghosts and strange noises.

BRYNLY...whos not a huge fan of physical activity...GOT 2nd PLACE!!!!

She was beyond excited.

Trake had beat her by about 20 min and she was really depressed. (sibling rivalry).

She was the top of her age group, Trake was bottom.
So she placed. The plaque is really cool, theres no way I'll ever place in a running race...unless I'm 80, so I was pumped she got it!

It was dang hard. 4.5 miles. 1000 steep stairs. My favorite race ever though. Not boring, run in a straight line running. Lots of hills, stairs, inclines, hippies playing music- stoned. It was great.
They gave out a ton of prizes too.

I wanted a pic with stairs. we weren't supposed to be climbing these though. oh well, i'm not always the best example. they seriously kept going up- one house to another!

So cool you met the girlfriend of one of Born to Run's main characters - which one I wonder? : ) LOVE that book as much as you do and I tell everyone about it when I can! We should get paid for promoting the book hmmm. : )
