I was a bit obsessed with Babylegs last year. I bought a lot for Elsie and Grace. I guess they are cool with Brynlys age too. My synchro girls tell me only the Goth chicks wear them in high school.
My last picture of sprouted wheat probably didn't convince anyone to try it. My friend who now loves it said it looked like cat vomit. It really is good AND the best part is.....
You make it with cannery wheat!! I don't grind wheat and I don't work well with yeast so i'm excited I found a use for it.
DIRECTIONS-
  • put some wheat in a jar.
  • cover it with water. (first jar)
  • let it soak overnight
  • you can now eat it but it tastes better after a day or 2 more
  • after it soaks overnight, drain and rinse the wheat twice a day. You can leave it on the counter.
  • It will expand and it may get a little tail. After 2 or 3 days keep it in the fridge but continue to rinse and drain it.
  • It's SUPER healthy. When it sprouts the protein content is higher. It's a live food and contains more nutrients than in its plain wheat state. Its sweet. I like it on salads, with a little almond milk and berries or even plain.

For more info on sprouting and detailed pics check out this blog http://www.thedailyrawcafe.com/2007/11/sprouting-101.html.

now don't worry i'm not a "raw foodie" but by taking baby steps almost 80% of my diet is raw food. Not because i want to be a vegan or anything crazy like that(i still eat meat and can't give up frozen yogurt). It's actually really easy and healthy food to prepare. You just eat more raw fruits and vegis! The sprouting is fun too( i've done lentils, peas and mung beans but wheats my fav). It ups your fiber and protein a ton w/o eating anything unhealthy!

WILLIAMS FAMILY CIRCUS-
on my days off, we do circus stuff.
Mostly because when i was in Colorado they talked a lot about how kids need more body awareness to do better in sports.
They need to understand how their bodies move so they can excell! Telling them we're going to do circus stuff gets them a lot more excited than me saying its time for yoga.

Remember my slacklining? I'm moving on. I really just stood up on here w/ a few steps , then i got freaked out. I don't think i'm going to be able to do the slackline over a canyon anytime soon. I just kept thinking- "theres no way i can keep up my schedule if i break something."

We got this yoga chair for synchro. Brynlys been playing on it a ton. It helps the girls feel what they are supposed to do upside down!

I love baby legs too. I bought a few pair a few months ago for my studio photo sessions, and haven't cracked them out to try just yet.

Man, I have been the biggest blog slacker lately, I have so many of your posts to get caught up on. :)
