at first look you may think- oh no another blog post all about someones vacation...but wait....

it was just me and
brynly! when our kids turn 8 they get a one day airplane trip with MOM. it sounds extravagant at first. but its not that bad. i download DING! on southwest.com and they send you deals all the time. so we went to
san diego for $62 each way per person. left at 7am home at 10:30 pm. long day but fun.

see we never take our kids on airplanes b/c paying for 5 of us is pricey!
brynly was super excited about the plane.
us at the airport- trying to take a pic myself.
i brought
trake to
disneyland last year and we did
Goofys breakfast.
With
brynly, we did
Dine with Shamu. its about $50 but its all you can eat- GOOD food and desserts (
staymotivated fans- this is where i fell of my diet wagon). if you go to the other places around the park its almost as much and crappy food. we brought snacks and didn't eat out at all besides this.

this thing had a rope wall and this crazy
looong tunnel.
i did WHATEVER
Brynly wanted b/c it was
her day.

dang cool horse.
it wants to kiss her.
oh- i did the talk too, she was disgusted.
AND i made a deal with her- if she waits till she's 16 to kiss any boys- i'll give her
$500.
she thinks that'll be so easy. oh- i hope so....

Thats helarious about the talk. Just had to give my daughter the detailed on cause she walked in on us!!! So aweful. Was it you that had the Eyers book about it? Glad you had fun and so glad you were back for class.
Oh that sounds so fun! You know Mary had a deal for $2000 with Roger Bentley if she didn't kiss anyone until she got engaged.... too late, she lost out on that. Celeste even told her it wasn't worth it -- too funny.
she'll lie, you know. about the kissing boys. she'll kiss 'em and then lie to you about it. it's amazing what people will do for a little cash.
What a fun tradition to have with your kids. You are giving me all sorts of fun ideas for when my kids grow up. Yep, don't count on Brynly waiting until she's 16 to kiss. The boys are gonna be after her.
i love the idea of a one-on-one trip on their eighth birthday.
oh, and i'm with kayleen on the whole kissing and lying. she's too cute, sorry to say this, but the boys are gonna be after her.
oh, and i really really love that self-picture of the two of you.
I am so glad I don't have this problem yet. Kennedy is so oblivious to boys, she'd rather run around the house on all fours, or sit in the corner with her nose in a book.
