i am totally on a olympic high!
if you didn't stay up to watch the mens swimming relay... you gotta watch it on the news or youtube or something.
even if you don't like swimming its so cool.
i just think its so amazing that 4 teams beat the world record. how cool is it that athletes can continue to push themsleves to be better and better?
4 years ago athletes thought that was the fastest they could possibly go and now they get faster.
its amazing to me. i makes you think .......

do you think i could do it..... you know THE OLYMPICS? 2012, i'd be 34.

i could start swimming masters in the morning, some synchro in the afternoon, massage and stretching throughout the day.....hmmmm...maybe. Its not just because i'm a swimmer that i think Dara Torres is freaking awesome.....

she's 41 with a kid.

AND
her training program is cool. she only has one workout a day and 5-8 hours of stretching and massage.
check out the regimn on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_i52yipzoc

she's 10 pounds lighter than the last olympics.
that proves my point that STRETCHING keeps you long and lean. it makes you stronger b/c your muscles have more range of motion.
SO...
when your sitting back watching TV- DON'T get down on the floor and stretch!
i've had my kids walking all over me all day, feels great! (watch the youtube video and it'll make sense)
if you still need some motivation to get your butt off the couch read this article....
the article pretty much says, anyone can be in good shape at 40 if they TRY.
but Dara Torres is kinda like Picasso. talented.
not anyone can be like that .
SO
sorry- probably won't see my ballet legs in the 2012 Olympics. but hey maybe i'll compete with these guys...

thats really water aerobics, i couldn't find any pics of seniors doing synchro.
but there is senior synchro. the Sun City ladies come to our meets maybe once a year. they wear flowery caps and super shiny tights cuz their legs don't look so hot at 70.

bryce is on an olympic high right now too, especially since he was a swimmer back in the day. i'm totally encouraging him... i wouldn't mind having his swimmer body back, nope, not at all.
