what is the worst possible thing that could happen on a 110 degree day?
i'll give you a minute....

yep- no AC. the part that really sucks is we replaced the AC last summer cuz the slimeballs talks us into it.

ac guy- you don't want to have your AC go out in August again do you? think about the inconvenience that would be.

me- oh you are right. the thing is 25 years old and if i buy this fancy, top of the line Trane AC it'll probably be good for 20 years at least.

ac guy- oh ya, these are the best systems out there. nothing ever happens to them.

sure.
24 hours it was out.
i know i should've went and stayed with someone. or a hotel. but i had to work at 7 last night so it seemed silly.
it was hot. we were all really crabby.
kids slept all over the place to try and stay cool.
PIONEERS.....I SALUTE YOU.
i don't think i could've done it. heat's not so fun.
luckily it was under warranty and its all fixed now.
note-SRP bill was $472. i guess if you put that into perspective- comfort is really pricey.
but TOTALLY worth it.
my kids don't need any school clothes or food, just cool air. (joking, kinda)
SRP bill: this month they jacked the prices up $4 a kilowatt(something like that). so if you haven't gotten your bill yet...i'm sorry in advance. the pool costs a fortune, if i didn't do swim lessons i don't know if we'd have it. AND our house is 25 years od- not very energy effiecient. we never put the AC below 78. so it's not like i'm living it up in icyness.

Oh man Sarah I'm so sorry. Layn and I lived a whole summer without a/c and it was while I was pregnant with Ty (our apt complex didn't have air and we were too cheap at the time to go out and buy a portable one) so I feel for you. If you need a place to relax and get out of the heat, come on over! I'm home all the time.

That SUCKS.
Don't know how you did it.
Those are the days you go to the mall, library, or any place with AC for the entire day.
Wow your srp bill is high. is it always???
I have not done any school shopping and this year I have 2 to worry about. Too bad kennedy is obsessed with the mini boden catalog. Not gonna happen unless I try ebay.
Oh and I am pretty sure I would have been the worst pioneer.
