ok i have to post this conversation so i don't forget it. (she doesn't have internet access, so i'm hoping she won't find it) (i started writing this before i got chastised on club sports)

lady(nicest term i can't think of)- so sarah what are you doing to stay busy?

me-oh you know- swim lessons, synchro, the gym.

lady- really?...what do your kids do?

me- their in some activities and they do a lot of swim lessons. oh and clubpenguin.com, we're all about that.

lady-oh, your one of those crazy ladies driving them all around. AND your trying to work too?

me- i suppose. i'm fairly crazy
a little later.....
lady-don't you worry about your skin being out here all day?

me- no i have these sun sails and they block 90% of the suns rays. (like a commercial)

lady-hmmmm (not satisfied that i'm aging myself on a daily basis).

few minutes later......
lady- do your kids play together a lot during the summer?

me-ya- well they fight a lot. but thats kinda like playing. they only hurt each other once a hour or so.

lady- don't you feel guilty that your not with them?

me(thinking in my head- not another one of these moms trying to make me feel bad).
no. honestly they have to clean all morning. then i do swim lessons and they do whatever they want. then i play with them and make them do school work.
and then i go do swim lessons and they do as they please(w/o me nagging them).
then if i go to work at night- their dads there.

lady- well it sounds like you have it worked out. (fake, sweet condescending voice)
lovely clients. i should just stick to talking to kids.

commenters- i'm totally content with what i do. i found what makes me happy, its different for everyone.(isn't that whats important?) and yes being busy does make me happy- i get bored easily.
you don't have to tell me i'm super mom or i'm amazing. if your raising kids- thats amazing.
i'm just lucky my husband is around a lot so i can do what i like.

we always do scriptures, family home evening and prayers. those are the basics- so i've heard..... in case you were worried.

Sarah you were nicer then I would have been. What's up with the preachy/judgey people lately. Freak I'd have told that lady that the the only way you survived was by drinking diet cokes all day and she'd have probably died. I stay home all day with my kids but am so bothered by the judgey comments stay at home moms make against working moms. Aren't we all moms together. Don't we all want what's best for our kids? My mom worked fulltime and loved her job and I never felt cheated. I had the world's best mom. You go Sarah, and invest in some earplugs girl!

Amen, Sarah. Stupid judgmental people in this world.

and i bet your kids weren't even breast fed as babies. *tsk* they're just bound to grow up to be social delinquents.

shame on you.

jay kay. that was me.

i hate stupid people. you should of told her the alternative to you working would be your kids starving. choose your choice.

HA- thats funny kayleen. you know whats even funnier... the one i DIDN'T breastfeed is the smart skinny one. so much for breastfeeding= guaranted intelligence/ no childhood obesity.

its trake if your wondering...i was of course ...to busy working to breastfeed him! (i'll blame any issues on my husband for not going to medical school- he passed out when i got my epidural)

Sarah here's one of my favorite quotes from Einstein “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.” I think the lady needs to get busier she has too much time on her hands to be judging others! Like you I get easily bored so I love doing a lot of things and others don't seem to get it - it's a challenge! I say whatever works for you is what matters, who cares about what others think!
