eric- i think i'll stay home today.
sarah- oh good, i have a lot of stuff i need to get done. meaning i want him to do b/c i hate doing it
e-like what?
s- get the dishwasher fixed(been broken a week). get the ice machine fixed(been broken 6 months). change the oil in the car. (last time was 10,000 miles ago-ya i know, no lectures). call cox about our cable freezing up(been a month). babysit (i hadn't found one yet). drive the kids around(you saw my last post).
e-i wanted to get ready for our trip and clean the garage so we can actually fit a car in it.
s-ok thats fine(knowing full well i can get him to do the other stuff)
e-WAIT you have swim lessons today don't you.
s-just in the morning- no big deal.
e-i hate swim lessons, everyone comes in the house.
s- no- i tell them to pee in the rocks.
e- i should probably go to work.....goes and gets dressed.
s- ok whatever. (quickly i go tell grace that daddy might stay home.)
grace- DADDY- are you going to stay home and play with me ALL day. please daddy. your the best daddy ever.
e-you want me to stay home?
g-YES!
8:30-drives trake and grace to activities. sets up ge appliance guy and oil change appt.
9:00 swim lessons start. at least 8 kids come in to go to the bathroom. trake and brynly both have friends over.
12:00 swim lessons over.
e- i'm never staying home again. next 15 min....full dissertation on why kids should be able to hold it for 30 min.
brynly-theres never that many kids when your not here.

s-i need saffron(supposedly really cheap, ethnic spice), CLR (our dishwasher wasn't working b/c our hard water) vinegar.
e-can't you get that at walmart
s-i hate walmart.
e-if i go to costco, i'm buying a tv. (why can't a man go to costco w/o looking at the tv's?)
s- fine i'll go to stinking walmart.
