I really don't like going to places on Saturdays. Not just because they are busy but because thats when all the 1 or 2 kid families are there.
For some reason they feel they need to say- Are those all your kids? are you old enough to have those kids? OR ...Wow you sure have your hands full.
my kids weren't even that bad.
That freaky looking talking nose in the picture scared Elsie.
And I had to leave trake and brynly in the planatarium b/c babies don't do dark rooms with fast moving stars and loud noises.
and grace "accidently" pinched another little girl with the toy wrench- of course it was a 1 child mom- who freaked out- told the husband and the grandma.... i just sat in the chair and told grace to say sorry. she did and i went back to reading my magazine, all while the kid was still screaming.
other than those few things the older kids were a big help.
Those rich weekend parents think b/c they can't handle their "one, special child" theres no way I can handle all of mine.
ANNOYING.
it got me thinking that i am more laid back with 4 kids, you have to be.
what? am i supposed to freak out that my kid doesn't ALWAYS share?
And Elsie she likes to cry...i don't know why, shes a crabby kid. so i let her cry.
what, should I... sigh and shake my head and act like the world is caving in on me b/c my baby crys in public places- NOPE. i just let her cry, she'll be ok. (i know you 1 or 2 kid moms are shaking your heads right now, b/c i'm one of those annoying moms bringing her kids everywhere-HA-doesn't even bother me! it still bothers eric though, thats why he doesn't go.)
so the science center was as as fun as can be expected. it has this cool weather room where you get to experience all types of weather. you stand on a platform and theres these big flat screen tv's around you with different hurricanes, tornados, etc and water sprays on you or the wind blows in your face or the earthquake shakes you. pretty cool. i have a membership (thanks mom) with 6 kids and 1 adult guest if you want to come w/ me, i set it up like that b/c i knew eric wouldn't want to go. i don't stay more than 2 hours and we're GOING ON A WEEKDAY.

I'm in, let's go!
I've always wanted to go there and I totally know what you mean about people wondering how you could have 4 kids. You look great!
I get that a lot teaching my classes...people are like "are those all yours?" Ummm, no I just like to haul them around with me.
Okay, I JUST read the thing about leaving your husbands home and now I can't find it to comment on!! I totally agree and I just barely realized this also. It is way more fun going by yourself and not having to worry about a grumpy husband. He stays home and you are both happy!! I don't blame them half the time. I wouldn't want to go places after working all day!
I TOYALLY got in trouble from Eric on that one!! He said I made him sound bad. I'll edit it a little and repost.=)
Sarah so funny!! Tell Eric he doesn't sound bad, he sounds like a typical man!! I would rather go out with my friends and all the kids as well. Women love to talk and be social. I only have 2 kids but I'm not bothered by the ones who have more. Kids are kids and if someone is going to be bothered by lots of crazy kids then stay home. Thanks for keeping it real =)
haha, very funny.
i loved the az science center when i was younger, i'll have to take ava there sometime. i'll be one of those two kid moms.
