Did you know I lived in Tucson for 8 years or so? Before mesa. I moved to mesa in 9th grade- ya it really sucks to move in 9th grade.first of all- jr high is just hard in general but in 9th grade everyone already has their friends.
then get this- my parents bought my clothes at SEARS, i know, i know you feel for me. fitting in wasn't easy.
ANYWAYS, there was this movie called "CAN'T BUY ME LOVE". 7th or 8th gradish, late 80's.
If your a 80's fan you'll love it.
In the movie theres this really nerdy guy that pays a cheerleader to date him. she ends up liking him, he becomes popular and a jerk, you get the idea.
Well the movie was shot in this neighborhood down the street from my house and the nerdy guy takes the cheerleader to PIMA AIR MUSEUM to look at the airplane graveyard!
this weekend my dad (in the picture) took Trake to it and they got to see the "graveyard". now trakes on a pilot kick- sorry kid- terrorists ruined it for you- can't get a job doing that.
I know long story for a picture of my cool dad.
go put the movie in your netflix account, you'll love the clothes.
I ended up getting a job when i was 15 at a retirement home as a waitress. old men slapped my butt and whistled at me. I had to go to work at 5 am on the weekend too! BUT i made some $ bought some cool clothes. my parents let me use their Isuzu Impulse(its a little sports car) when i was 15 so that made me friends really quick too. pretty sad that all it took was some clothes and a car to get friends....teenagers are so shallow.

i've vowed to never move once my kids hit junior high, it's too rough.
and "can't buy me love" was one of my favorite movies when i was younger... i've seen it a thousand times. that's one i need to add to my collection. i can never see patrick dempsey as the hot guy that people think he is now-a-days because he'll always be the skinny nerdy kid from that movie to me.
THAT WAS PATRICK DEMPSEY!!! I haven't seen it forever! I totally have to re watch it, hilarious.
