RAN MY FIRST 10 K!
It wasn't so bad. I didn't plan on doing it. The synchro team I coach did the fun run for "Londons Run" and I signed up for the 10 K because I figured I would do better with all the kids there watching me. I've never in my life ran more than 5 miles in a row so I was proud of myself for doing 6 1/2 without stopping or dying. I must say the IPOD saved me. A little Red Hot Chili Peppers- "Lets Get it Started" and Nelly kept me motivated. I really have no desire to do a marathon- I was REALLY sore the next day and my knees aren't up for all that training and honestly I think it would get a little boring...sorry a lot of my friends are died hard marathoners.
