New exciting news, I got a job coaching Synchro! I'm super excited, its with a new team, The Arizona Desert Dolphins. 4 miles from my house! See Brynly was getting sick of dance, she didn't want to do ballet anymore but they told her she had to to get better for her jazz class. I tried to give her this whole motivational talk about how when I swam I had to do all kinds of things I didn't like but it made me a better swimmer. So she says why can't I do Synchro? Personally I didn't think she could handle it. I was swimming over 20 hours a week at one time, its a lot harder than it looks! But I decided to check into it. And it just so happens some girls I swam/coached with way back started their own team. The head caoch was excited I called because she was wanting a Pilates instructor to work with the team and had been thinking of me. The thing thats really fun about it is that I can look at all these synchro positions and find a way that the Pilates can help the girls preform better. Plus Brynlys on the team so I would probably end up being at practice all the time anyway and this way I get paid for it! Below are some pics from the world championships.

I love the internet! I found this link to the Olympics in Greece with Al Rocker and Matt Lauer doing synchro, So funny. You can see what the girls are doing under water . You have to listen to the commercial first then it will come on.

The Pilates training I was going to do got cancelled because not enough people signed up, so this will work out good. Brynlys going to start with the recreational team practicing 4 hours aweek and then maybe move up to competetive if she likes it. I coach about 7 hours a week. I have 3 girls so I figured this would be a good sport for all of them. I have to be careful not to burn them out because I want them to stick with it!
