Nothing like a campfire

My parents took their RV to California.
We stayed in a hotel.
Then Eric went home and Trake, Grace and myself rode 11 hours to Bisbee for the Stair Run!

Chinese Checkers is the our favorite game.

I was tired after the race. Wanted to wear something comfy hence the socks.
This place is in all sorts of travel magazines!
We got Brynly a shirt.





Bisbee. Trake beat me by 2 seconds!
 I didn't run with him the last part but I started before him.
So the chip told us he was actually faster! I'm proud of him. I'm just getting old.



CRAZY hair day.

Pinwheels for Peace.
My neighbor let me know its some holiday to corrupt our children against war.
I told her...really, they are just pinwheels.
I lack political interest most of the time. Stresses me out to much.

3 kids played this year and Eric coached all 3.
He loves it. REALLY gets into it!

Trake is getting OLD. In 11 year old scouts now.  I really need to start sewing the patches on.
I pinned them all on at his Arrow of light for cub scouts.
 I'm lacking in the domestic department.

The van was a BAD,BAD idea. We bought it to save $. Its cost us a fortune. More than keeping our Expedition. GRRRRR.
One of those things you just need to move on from.
It died on me 2 or 3 times while driving places. My dad would tow it.
I was DONE!
So I got this sweet truck.
Makes more sense for me. I'm always hauling stuff around.
It took Eric a hour to get the van to the dealership 10 miles away.
It totally QUIT when he coasted in.
We already signed the paperwork and told them....
SORRY!

We went to Cali for fall break. This is Grace body surfing.
Its a cool pic but she was FREAKED out when she made it in.

My cute family. I like this stage. It was the first year we didn't have a high maintenance baby/toddler with us.
I wish I could just freeze time at these ages.

Eric doing some PARKOUR (my new thing)  My parents parked the RV at Dana Point. We'd hang out there during the day and go back to Laguna at night.
TIP- Priceline.com may put you in a nice resort BUT its going to be a the worst room in the whole resort.
We had 2 kids stay with my parents at night.

 This was super fun. We'd sit in the hot tub then run to the COLD ocean. 5 or 6 times!
Its Hydrotherapy. Theres research on it. Its good for you. You do start feeling a little loopy by the 4th round.

I did a open water swim everyday.
SO COLD.
If I'm ever going to swim the English Channel I need to toughen up!!!
I actually saw some dolphins swimming right by me!

Dig a hole. Kills time for a few hours.
We're on a tight budget with the new truck and all so we didn't hit any amusement parks.
Hung out on the beach! Poor Elsie- never been to Disneyland.

We flew kites! Arizona's lack of weather makes kite flying quite the novelty.
