I'm teaching a Tough Kids class in Gilbert now. Its a 40 min drive for a 45 min class. Pretty much takes up our whole Tues/Thurs night.

We drive to the class, then drop Brynly at synchro, then hit the Crossfit gym and back to pick up Brynly at synchro. 4 hours later we come home to Eric and Elsie. Its been a long 6 weeks. I tell Trake and Grace were bonding.

I get bored so I come up with this course. 5 squats on the balance beam, jump on the tramp, forward roll (trake can just about land his flip) then sprint around the basketball course.

UPCOMING Cross fit KIDS CLASSES-

MESA- Jan 16th. Mon and Wed at 5:30. (Mt. Side fitness)

Crossfit LTF (TBD)- Tues and Thurs. This will be fun, the owners are firefighters and we'll have the kids do cool firefighting drills along with Crossfit kids workouts. This is a totally legit Crossfit gym.

Power and Baseline

I really didn't want to do this race. I love my trail running. Its fun and relaxing. I knew I'd have to beat last years time on Turkey trot. Which means I'd have to go FAST.( I did beat it by about 4 min. most of the time under a 8:15 mile )

This is mile 2. Not so bad. I'd really enjoy a 5k, this was a 10K. Our strategy was 10K for time. All Crossfit workouts are timed, which means you have to really push yourself!

I'd rather do 100 burpees than run a 10K for time.

WHY do it then??? you ask.

because thats the deal...you push yourself in uncomfortable situations so that you can do anything.

CROSSFIT...everything across all spectrum's. and there is NO WAY I'd push myself like I did in this race, on my own.

Its just another workout...I'm NOT becoming a runner...that is for sure.

Just like the 1/2 marathon I'm going to do...just another workout,

another crazy workout I'll dread but make it through b/c you never know when you'll need to be able to run 13 miles.

My grandpa is 87.

He skis every winter.

Walks 3 miles a day and lifts weights. He's a ex- Navy man. Lived through the Depression and a few wives.

Cool guy, lots of energy, drove 13 hours from Colorado to see us for Turkey Day.

He'd rather die on his own than taking any Dr's drugs.

Says the worst thing for your health is a DR.

HA! Eat smart and exercise...better than anything you can buy!
