it kinda tastes like pineapple only milder.
the label says it has no vitamins in it so i didn't really get the purpose of it.
OR it could just be that the chinese people writing the label skipped the nutritional part because on the bottom of the label it says- THIS FOOD GOOD AND HAS VITAMIN.
that label alone was worth the trip to this new Asian market on Dobson south of Main!
It also would've helped if i knew a little Chinese b/c the employees didn't know English.
i did find some good stuff to fit into my super healthy diet.....
Pearl barley powder and rice flour- its a good source of protein and a little sweet so it works well in my smoothies. Its dang expensive online at the raw food sites but i got it for $2 a pound
mussels & scallops & dried shrimp- excellent low cal protein sources. only $3 a pound or less.
there were SO MANY kinds of fish there at good prices- you can even get them with there heads still on.
A few new types of vegis- Chinese broccoli. the rest of the packages just say "wrapped produce" on them, they were green so i bought them and steamed them, not bad, although i had no idea what they were.
- mushrooms were delicious too.
If your getting bored with your current healthy selections try some new ethnic food!
The oriental folks were so nice. They gave you free groceries and had a raffle going!

Octopus tentacle... creepy
Oh, by the way. I learned the hard way that most Asians find the word "oriental" offensive. FYI :)
