THIS IS A REALLY GOOD STORY:

my dad is a bit of a dare devil- he thinks hes 20. he really wanted to go to this place called "the rock" on his motorcycle. its a big movie star hang out. they go and show off their $200,000 cars and motorcycles.

to get there you have to drive these super windy, steep roads by all the drug dealer, movie star mansions. you know- to show off how good your car can handle the turns- i think its on some of those zoom zoom zoom commercials.

the cool part is that 15 pimped out Ferrari's drove by him. all different colors.

the amazing part is: He was going around a turn and he hits a gravel patch. His bike slides out across the road and hits the guard rail. my dad then flips through the air over the guardrail!! On the other side of the guard rail is a super steep cliff. Luckily he landed in some bushes- had he gone another foot he'd fall off a cliff!

a guy in a fancy sports car stopped after he saw the whole thing and said "hey man- are you ok? Dad-YA great! Pick up my bike so someone doesn't run it over!

Then we got back on and rode it up to The Rock. Its a little restaurant that's been there since the 20's. He didn't see any actual movie stars but the secons owners(in there 90's!) that bought it in the 40's, came hobbling in with their canes and told everyone the story of the place!

Crazy huh? I think he's one of those guys that wants to go out in style and not in some old peoples home.

He wears a lot of protective gear and he said he's really good at crashing b/c he does it so much.

His bike got a little messed up and his helmet but he's proud that he didn't even break his sunglasses! His leg looks pretty bad but he was still out there building sand castles and playing in the ocean.
