ON THE UP SIDE:
Grace took about 10 steps today. its been super slow getting her to walk around but I think shes finally getting ready to try. yea!
The dr. was worried about me carrying her and elsie everywhere. she told me she has to send parents to physical therapy too b/c they get pretty messed up.

not me. i have some little secrets. if you don't come to my classes your totally missing out.
but its your lucky day. I will share my secrets to virtually eliminate your back pain.
for free, i'm so nice. tennis balls. get 4 and put them in a sock. roll around. on your lower back, between the shoulder blades, neck (fold the sock in half so the balls are like this- :: ), hands, arms and the best your butt! if you have lower back pain you gotta get into the glute muscles. they are so tight on just about everyone. put 2 balls under one glute cheek, then roll sideways on it. you'll feel it, just breathe and let the muscles relax...... ommmm This is one of my most favorite exercise tools! FOAM ROLLERS. I use it everyday. This and the tennis balls are almost as good as a daily massage. You roll around and it relaxs your muscle tension.
for really bad days-i sleep with it under my neck, if you get excruciating migraines or you neck is always tight(most moms are) you gotta try this!!
yes, eric loves having a 4 ft foam roller in bed with us.
It also messes up your balance so if you do any kind of exercise on it(squats, lunges, bicep curls, etc) you'll work more core muscles.

HAMSTRINGS
they are in the backs of your legs. OK THIS IS SO INTERESTING:
a lot of studies were done last year on the benefits of stretching your hamstrings 30 min a day, AMAZING results:
lower back pain decreased, cardiovascular condition improved- participants were able to run farther and better , quad (thighs) strength increased, and they were more flexible!

google any of these things and add "exercises" after the title if your ready to feel super. or just come to my stroller, yoga or pilates class....

People always ask me how I do everything I'm doing. I usually joke around and say my diet pepsi max, which does help, believe me.

BUT doing something for yourself and your body balances everything out. Really go try it. you'll realign your body.

A great site is http://www.yogadownloads.com/ you can pick any type of class and download it to listen on your ipod. theres a exercise sheet to print out so you can learn the exercises. ($4 a class or $8 a month-totally worth it, promise)
then when your kids are watching tv, you can do your little workout.
beware: theres something about moms doing yoga that makes kids think your a jungle gym.

LASTLY chiropractor. mine does help but i think you really get the full benefit when you do yoga or pilates along with it. otherwise you go right back to your old habits and have to get readjusted every few days.
trake had THE WORST allergies when he was 5. he was one all different meds, none were working very well. so I thought i'd have him adjusted, it wouldn't hurt to try....and it worked(about 3 weeks worth of visits)! He's 9 and hasn't had any more problems! i don't see why anyone wouldn't just try it rather than have their kids on all types of meds.

I tried a maternity yoga video when I was prego with Ty and it was AWFUL. Granted, I'm not a pro, but every other phrase out of the ladies mouth was how much by baby and I were bonding by doing this tape. Do you have any recommendations?
