Closet Remodel Done!!
The before picture would've been like the ones you see in magazines but a lot worse. We had shoes all over the floor and baskets holding stuff, boxes stacked up, nasty gray berber carpet, with a tiny little walkway. Much to embarrasing to even post. So Eric ripped out everything and put in the tile, all different sizes so it took awhile. Then he installed the whole new ORGANIZED closet! The wall you can't see has big drawers and more shelves and hanging space. He painted it tan and put on the nice big baseboards. Our whole house is screaming 80's so we are slowly remodeling it. The bathroom is next, I took a before pic but I think I'll wait until we have a "after" to compare to or you'll think, how the heck are they living w/ concrete floors and corroded faucets? When we did our kitchen we had a whole makeshift kitchen set up in the garage. The neighbors would drive by staring and we'd just wave. That experience taught me how much easier life is using paper plates and a bbq for EVERYTHING. You really can use a BBQ to make just about anything. We did that for 3 months! Yes, I have managed to block that experience out. They say remodeling is hard on a marriage, I kinda have fun with it, Eric usually comes up with some good stories too. This time he just dropped some shelves on his head, nothing to exciting.
He's been so stressed about getting the Christmas lights up and finishing the closet. He really wants the best lights in the neighborhood. I keep thinking he's done and then I come home and see him adding more. Tonight he said were probably going to need a generator next year cuz he's running out of outlets. His This Old House mag said your only supposed to have a certain # of lights plugged into each socket and he thinks he's probably tripled the recommended amount. Hopefully nothing burns down.....
Our neighbor who works in construction is bringing in a basket lift thing to get the tall trees and Erics hoping he'll be able to borrow it too. Trake took some pics on his blog but there are already more lights up, I'll post a pic when he runs out of outlets or power.

I did get a couple of thorns in my fingers from bushes putting in lights, one of which I having been able to get out yet, which seems to be getting more painful, and of course it is in my thumb that I push the buttons through the holes on my shirts with, pure torture, it took me five minutes to put on my shirt this morning.
