Ended up on this highway of Joshua Trees. Made me think of U2. I told the kids, Look at all these Joshua Trees, this is the only place in the world there is this many. They looked up for a second said "cool" and went back to their movie, kids these days. No it wasn't snowing, the car was going to fast to get a pic so I stole it off the web.
HOOVER DAM- I figured a good ending to our Sin City trip would be a educational tour of one of the "most fascinating engineering projects in American History". But we got lost and ended up having to go through Laughlin to see some more of Nevadas charm.

Theres a casino thats a big river boat, The Desert Belle. My uncle takes tons of Seniors on trips to Laughlin, its THE DESTINATION for those over 60. Remind me I need to travel the world in my Golden years..... The desert does kinda grow on you. The nothingness of it all. There is actually a river behind that highway. Its a little crazy your driving and theres nothing but tumbleweeds and cacti then, tah dah a big river!
